Ads and Authenticity

Some ads work shit tonnes better than others because they appear authentic; they communicate something genuine and rateable. Here's a bunch of NZ ads that i feel are successful in this. I think they work mainly due to use of that dry kiwi humour and use of sarcasm (design has made me more sarcastic then i thought achievable), humour creates a sense of being included in whats going on; its how we communicate with friends and normally we are authentic/ourselves when we are with mates What's great is they only have 30sec to a min to give this feeling across.







Then again, these were made to appeal to a kiwi audience (mainly of the younger persuasion) which is probably why Im roped into thinking them authentic.
